Resurfacing skin peels

A resurfacing peel is a skincare treatment that uses chemical exfoliants to remove the outermost layers of the skin, promoting cell turnover and revealing smoother, more radiant skin underneath. It helps improve skin texture, tone, and clarity and enables your skin care to be absorbed better at a cellular level.

Using Image Skincare available to licenced skincare professionals only, we have various types of resurfacing peels available to us, including glycolic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid, and enzymatic. Depending what your concerns are we can tailor-make a bespoke peel for you.

Results from a resurfacing peel may include smoother, more even-toned skin, reduced fine lines and wrinkles, improved acne or pigmentation, and enhanced overall radiance. Results can last for several weeks to months, having a course of peels will undoubtedly achieve maximum effects.

Generally most clients notice an immediate glow, some may then experience some temporary redness, swelling and stinging. Peeling is likely to occur within 36-48 hours, depending how hydrated your skin was prior to the procedure. As with our other treatments some medical conditions, medications or pregnancy may be contraindicated.

Most clients report an improvement to their skin after just one treatment but to achieve the very best results we would recommend a course, depending on your skin concerns.

Downtime varies depending on the peel and an individuals skin and concerns. Any peeling usually occurs within 36-48 hours, not everyone will expereince actual peeling but your skin will still be benefitting from the procedure and the products used. Post-treatment advice includes use of gentle skincare products, and to always use a good UVA/UVB SPF30 during any daylight hours.
